Historical and future trajectories of temperature for the US

5 historical and future trajectories of temperature for the US under no greenhouse gas mitigation policy, also called “Business-as-usual” scenario. Time-series are monthly from 1951 to 2100.

The 5 trajectories are a sub-set of 23 trajectories from IPCC models, under no greenhouse gas mitigation policy, also called “Business-as-usual” scenario and from models that provided all 6 parameters (min max and mean temperature, precipitation, surface wind and solar radiation). The sub-set selection is based on identifying trajectories that show the highest and lowest 30 year averages at the end of the century:
1. highest temperature
2. lowest temperature
3. highest rainfall
4. lowest rainfall
5. closest value to the mean of temperature and rainfall

File format is netCDF. One file per trajectory (i.e., 5 files per country). Each netCDF file contains gridded data at a 0.5° x 0.5° resolution (~ 50km x 50km).

Data are downscaled and quality controlled ([see technical documentation](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/322888233_Bias_Adjusting_Climate_Model_Projections)).
